Pastors

The Pastors of Citizens Church are the spiritual authority over the church as laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4, and Acts 20:17-35.

Their role is to guard and give shape to three major areas of the church:

Direction: Putting words to how the Holy Spirit is leading in our community.

Doctrine: Teaching the Scriptures and guard against false teaching within the church.

Discipleship: Overseeing all matters of church care, discipleship, and discipline.

Staff Team

We also have numerous leaders who serve in more administrative roles within our church, akin to the role of deacon in the Bible (see Acts 6:1-7). These leaders meet the biblical qualifications of a deacon, and also serve in roles of servant-leadership within our church.

Board of Directors

The Citizens Church Board of Directors works in conjunction with the pastoral team to provide strategic counsel for the organizational health and administration of Citizens Church. They help provide oversight and accountability for church finances, HR, legal compliance, bylaws and other policies.
