"Lent" text with a gray cross and the subtitle "Fasting: A Sacred Hunger" on a white background.

Lent is a 40-day period leading up to Easter Sunday, symbolizing Jesus's 40 days of fasting and temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). This period has historically been marked by fasting, prayer, repentance and self-examination as the church reflects on our sin, our frailty and our utter dependence on God.

This year, we as a church will intentionally step into the discipline of fasting.
