MATTHEW: RESPONSES TO THE KINGDOM

The kingdom of God doesn’t just invite admiration—it demands a response. In Matthew 11–12, Jesus continues His ministry, but something shifts. As He teaches, heals and unveils the mysteries of the kingdom through parables, we begin to see a divide. Some are drawn in with hunger and faith. Others resist with skepticism, apathy, or outright rejection. The same kingdom message goes out—but the responses couldn’t be more different.

This series explores those varied reactions to Jesus: doubt in the face of unmet expectations, unrepentance despite clear invitation, and both receptivity and rejection to His kingdom truths. But Jesus isn’t surprised—He told us this would happen. The seed doesn’t always fall on good soil. So the question lingers—not just how did they respond, but how will we? Will we have ears to hear? Will we receive the kingdom like treasure, or walk away unchanged?
