Sanctification

Sanctification is the Bible’s term for the work of God, over the course of our lives, where He shapes us, through our active participation, to look more like Jesus. This is an essential part of following Jesus — that more and more over the course of our lives we become like Him.

In Colossians 3, we read that this involves two key actions — we put off and we put on.

We put off what is earthly, seeking to say “no” to what is contrary to God’s design. And we put on what is Godly, seeking to embody more and more hte characteristics of Christ and His Kingdom.

In this two-week mini series we explore the call to sanctification in Colossians 3, discovering how to bridge the gap between who we are and how we live.
