1 Timothy
The call on our lives as citizens of God’s Kingdom is to go and make disciples - to teach others how to know and follow Jesus. As people come to believe and trust in Jesus and follow Him together, the Church is formed. The people of God have been doing this for centuries. Through making disciples and planting churches, the kingdom of God has been on the move throughout history and shows no signs of stopping.
In the book of 1 Timothy, we zoom in on one of the early church apostles, Paul, equipping a new pastor, Timothy, on what the church is called to be and how he should lead them towards that end. In this series, we’ll take 12 weeks unpacking what is the church as we seek to be the called out people of God together.
As we are beginning this new church plant, we are participating in this sermon series along with our sending church, Midtown Fellowship, in Columbia, SC.
